Was watching the dish last weekend and Gunsmoke was on, saw a very young 18
year old Loretta Swit. The episode was Snow Train (2 parts). The dish info
said 1955 on it and I think she was born in '37? What an amazing actress!

This must be 'Swit Week.' Last night Hallmark ran two of her "Hawaii Five-0"
episodes.

If only someone would run her Mission: Impossible episode!

I don't know what the movie was, but she was on Women's Entertainment
(the cable channel) last night, also.

Actually...Gunsmoke debuted in 1955 but that episode was from the late 60s so
she was much older than that. This was probably only a few years before MASH.
She started in theatre and did not start doing television until a few years
before she was hired for MASH. But you are right about her abilities as an
actress.

I saw her on an ep of Hawaii Five-0 a few weeks ago. Must have been about a
year or two before Mash started. She looked almost like season 1 Hotlips but
not quite.
